He was born in Lowell on Aug. 21, 1939, a son of the late Leo J. and Cecile M. (Davis) Martin Sr. He was educated in Lowell schools.
Mr. Martin was a stamping machine operator for Chromerics and Grace Electronics.
He enjoyed all sports and liked to bowl. He was an avid car-racing fan, and also enjoyed tinkering with automobiles.
He is survived by six children and their spouses, Paul and Missy Martin, and Kathy and Wayne Labatte, all of Nashua, Clinton M. Edwards, Richard A. Edwards, both of Lowell, Norman and Lise Edwards of Nashua, and Irene Davis of Pelham; 14 grandchildren, Chris and William Bezio, Bree and Alysha Martin, Megan and Kelly Belanger, Tiffany Hollen, Mark, Tina, and Mikie Edwards, Kevin and Mandi Edwards, Cally and Cadi Edwards. Mr. Martin also leaves several great-grandchildren.
