Mary Pascal Obituary

Loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt

LOWELL

Mary (Soukaras) Pascal, died in her sleep on August 23, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Mary aka "Cleo" was 63 years old.

Born in Lowell, June 24, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Pauline (Gerakines) Soukaras of Tewksbury, and the late William N. Soukaras.

Mary grew up in Lowell, was a graduate of UMass Lowell and Northeastern University.  She also received her master's degree from Nichols College.  She loved watching her favorite sports teams, the Patriots and Celtics.  Mary also had a love of motorcycles and enjoyed going on rides as well as participating in many charity events.

She was devoted to her family.  She loved watching her daughter play sports, and listen to her son as he wrote music and sang.  Mary was devoted to her sister, and cherished her nieces and nephews. Mary's other love were her dogs, Duke, Scout and Maze.  Though our hearts are broken, and we ache with sadness, she will always be remembered for her deep love of family, and kind spirit.

Mary is survived by her children, Vincent Pascal, and Vanessa Pascal and her partner Carissa Cicollini and grandson William Medina, and her longtime partner William Paynton, all of Marlborough; her sister, Venus Soukaras-Lucas, her longtime partner Earl Taylor, and her children, Ian Soukaras and his wife Kim, Peter Soukaras and his wife Kellie, James Lucas and his partner Kevin Scannell, and Zoie Lucas And her Husband Eric Mariasis; all of Chelmsford. Two grandnieces, Athena Soukaras and Caroline Lucy Soukaras, and four grandnephews, Nicholas William Soukaras, Peter Thomas Soukaras, Alex George Soukaras, and Theo Isaac Mariasis.

I am so saddened to learn that Mary has passed on. I knew Mary and Venus when we were all young teenagers playing basketball together for Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell under coach George Zaharoulis. I am grateful that I was her teammate for many reasons and I´m sure we would never have won as many games as we did without Mary and Venus crashing the boards!! I will remember Mary always for her quick wit, devilish smile and for her kind spirit. She was truly a special person. Sending my sincere condolences to her those she loved and my love and hugs to you Venus!!
