I will always remember Bruce's laugh and red cheeks. One of my favorite stories is when my older brother Dana and I to Bruce's parent's house to go hunting. It was Super Bowl Sunday on 1/13/74 and Miami was winning over Minnesota. It was bitterly cold and we ended up ending the hunt early (maybe to watch the game. Bruce invited us in and offered us some Dutch hard pretzels which I had never eaten in the day of Mr. Salty pretzels (you couldn't have that now). As we watched, we were suddenly overwhelmed a terrible smell. we all looked at each other but no one admitted farting. Then it happened again, this time with the terrible smell, Bruce yelled, "Duke, get out of here!" Duke Bruce's German Shepard rolled over off his back from his slumber and farted no more for the rest of the game. .

We offer our heart felt condolences to your families for both your father and your mother. I enjoyed as a seed salesperson coming over to greet Bruce and say hello as we caught up on the happenings in Laporte co. and agriculture. He was a great person and farmer. He loved his family very much and spoke of them often. We are truly sorry.
