Donna Jean Brown, 68, of Kouts, Indiana, passed away Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025.
She was born April 1, 1957, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Leo and Bernice (Babcock) Manske. Donna graduated from Michigan City High School in 1975. She worked as a seamstress at Harvey's Dime Store for a while, and continued sewing and making clothes long after she left. Along with her husband, Tim, she owned and operated The Koffee Kup restaurant in Kouts for 14 years.
Donna was also a member of Salem Church in Wanatah, and enjoyed collecting figurines. She will be remembered for her sweet disposition, and the caring way she passed on her wisdom to others. Donna was a loving and devoted wife and mother who will be dearly missed.
On Aug. 25, 1979, Donna married Tim Brown, who preceded her in death in 2020. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Thomas (Rhonda) Brown; brothers, Joe (Arlene) Manske and Dave Manske; sister-in-law, Nancy Manske; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her only daughter, Jennifer Brown in 2004; her parents; brother, Tom Manske; and sister, Mary Ann Manske.
A visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Wanatah Funeral Chapel, 309 N. Main Street, Wanatah, Indiana, with a funeral service beginning at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kouts Scholarship Fund in memory of Jenny Brown, P.O. Box 699, Kouts, IN 46347.

Dave and I are so sorry to hear of Donna's passing. And I know she is finally reunited with her husband and daughter which makes me happy. God bless this little family now.

I worked at the Koffee Kup with Donna. She was a pleasure to work with.She always had a ready smile ad a great sense of humor...very supportive and kind. I am sad to say that since I moved from Kouts I lost contact with her. I am sure she will be missed
