Thank you Emilio for bring so much joy to children all around the world. I started watching Sesame Street in 1969 when I was 3 years old. Love the show and still love it to this day. Rest in peace. Condolences to the Sesame Workshop Family and deepest condolences to the Delgado family.

Growing up, there was a lot of disorder in my house when I was a child. Thankfully, I always had access to PBS and Sesame Street. It was a way for me to learn and also give me peace for a few hours. Sometimes I would watch the same episodes over and over. Luis was my favorite actor on the show. I am so sorry about his death. May God give comfort and strength to help the family get through this difficult time.

I grew up watching Sesame street... Still sing some of those educational jingles to this day.. Luis and Maria was such a well appreciated depiction of a stable marriage. I was a little too old to be watching Sesame Street when it started, so I supervised my little brother's watching, a great excuse, and I still tune in occasionally to keep my hand in. Luis and Maria were a loving family adding guidance, nurture & steadiness for so many kids all over the world in a time of changing social norms. Thanks Emilio.

Mr. Emilio Delgado visited my small hometown of Blythe, Ca in the mid 70's during a Cinco de Mayo festival. I was a young Mexican- American who was star struck because I absolutely loved watching Sesame Street with my little brother Rudy! Mr. Delgado came across so friendly and very pleasant to us all young kids whom reached out to him during his visit. Rest in peace Mr. Delgado, que Dios te bendiga.

Emilio (Luis) expanded the world of my children beyond the borders of our state, North Dakota. I taped the Sesame Street Marie & Luis wedding and watched it again a few months ago. I would like to thank his family for sharing this talented man with children worldwide. May he rest in peace.
