Richard Slaughter Obituary

Richard Dale Slaughter Sr., age 88, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026. He was born on Sept. 6, 1937, in Michigan City, Indiana.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Kimberley Slaughter; his grandchildren, Bryant Duty Jr., Ashley Duty, Dallas Bengston and Collin Slaughter; and nephew, Edward Slaughter.

Preceded in death and reunited with him in Heaven are his wife, Lura Slaughter; his children, Richard Jr. and Brant; and his grandson, Cody Slaughter. They will forever be missed.

Friends may visit with the family at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home, located at 613 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. with Pastor Bill Barnes, officiating. A private burial will be held with the family.
