Sandy was on born Dec. 6, 1966, in Michigan City to Raymond and Connie (Foldenauer) Potempa. She is preceded in death by her father.
She married the love of her life, Scott Ormsby, on Oct. 13, 1990, at Queen of All Saints Church in Michigan City. In their 33 years of marriage they built a beautiful life and family with three children.

Sandy was a cardiovascular sonographer at Northwest Health-La Porte hospital.
She was a member of Queen of All Saints Church. Cherished most by Sandy was her time spent with her family, work family, Ball State besties and friends. When not working, her time was spent doing what she loved most, traveling, going to the beach looking for beach glass, crinoids and other treasures, and gardening both flowers and produce. She loved her cats, Kevin the peacock, and visiting baby calves born on her uncles farm. Her passion was her family and was proud to be a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. Her life brought wisdom, humor, love, and compassion to everyone she encountered. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
