Wayne Mitchell Eagle, born June 5, 1941, at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Francis G. and Nina Rae (Mitchell) Eagle. Wayne passed away June 7, 2025, in Michigan City, Indiana.
Survived by three daughters, Teresa A. Palmer (Troy), Wanda J. Fedorowicz (Paul) and Tanya Eagle; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Darrell Eagle (Carole Adams).
He greatly appreciated the longtime friendship of Dave Stephony, Ruth Wilson, Cathy Akre, Patrick Milligan, Debbie and his church family.
Wayne attended schools, K-5 at the Malcolm School, grades 6-7 Soo Twp. Schools (old Washington School building), and 8-12 Soo Jr. & High School, graduating in 1960.
Wayne lived in Michigan City for 59 years and worked at the Paltier Steel for almost 40 years.
The family appreciates the wonderful caregivers at Franciscan Health.

More than just a father, he was our cherished friend, trusted confidant and unwavering hero. Through his example, he taught us the value of hard work, the importance of family and the true meaning of love. We will forever treasure the moments we shared with him, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Wayne will be cremated and his ashes will be inurned at a later date near his parents and grandparents, William and Sarah Miller-Eagle, and Raymond and Hazel Parish-Mitchell.
