I only learned about Barry's death a few weeks ago and I am very saddened by the news. I shared many great moments with him during the five years we overlapped at Michigan State. He was smart and modest, had a dry and wry sense of humor, was an excellent psychologist, woodworker, and cook, and great at many other things. He was a very special person in my life. I'm attaching a picture taken at the hospital when Adam was born. Peg, Adam, Sara, and families, please accept my deepest condolences at the loss of a very very special man.

Remembering Barry-June 2022
Barry was and will always be
the person who....
-listened deeply and with interest.
-put up with our whacky family with a smile.
-was the most thought-provoking question asker we have ever met.
-started sentences with, "I wonder...."
-drew conversation and expression of ideas out of the quietest people.
-cherished life and all the precious people in it.
-created beauty in his workshop and garden.
-had constant love and curiosity for the natural world.
-was always ready for and adventure and exploring the entire globe.
-was Peg´s soulmate.
Thank you, Barry!
We love you!

Barry will always be an integral part of many happy family memories. We will so miss conversations with him. He had the rare gift of asking thoughtful questions to get people talking and sharing ideas. What a kind, loving person, talented in so many facets.
