James Watson Obituary

James O. Watson

Charlotte

On Sunday, October 23rd Ben and Jerry's stock price fell sharply with the news of Jim Watson's passing. It was a beautiful fall day when Jim joined those who have passed before him: granddaughter, Kayla Ann Grier, son, Jason, wife, Vicki, and his beloved parents, Martha (Midge) and Lloyd. Jim filled a room with laughter, loved with all he had, and as those close to him know "did it his way". He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from General Motors working in Oldsmobile assembly. Jim was survived by his daughter, Jamie; brother and best friend, Bill (Ellen); stepdaughters, Jessica (Jason) Parrott, Meghan (Kyle) Rowinski, sister, Sharon (Dick) Dedic; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Jim was a gun enthusiast, treated his many dogs like children, and is now at peace.

Private services will be held. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bath, Michigan.

The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel.

So sorry to hear of your loss.
We had been friends of his wife, Vickie and her girls for the past 40+ years and welcomed Jim when he came into their lives.
He will be missed in this world but will remain forever in your hearts.

The first time we met Jim he was driving his white muscle car (a Trans-Am perhaps) with my sister by his side and the girls in the back seat. Good times, great memories . . . Jim will be missed by all who knew him. Our deepest sympathies to Jamie, Bill, Jessica and Meghan and their families. Love, Pam and Fred Todd

I was saddened to learn of Jim's passing. I have some of the best 8th grade memories sitting next to him in history class. His sense of humor kept me in stitches, and I always kept those memories close to my heart. I give Bill, Sharon and the rest of his loved ones my deepest sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time.
