Joyce Goff Obituary
Owosso
Age 80 of Owosso passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at her home.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Owosso First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Brad Stockton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00pm on Friday, February 5 at Nelson-House Funeral Homes in Owosso.
Joyce was born on March 9, 1935 to Hugh and Dorothy (Bosley) Medler in Milford, Michigan. Growing up, she graduated from Flint Public Schools; she later attended Business School and Akron University. Joyce married the love of her life, Clare Goff, on November 28, 1959 in Flint; they celebrated 56 years of marriage this past November.
Joyce spent the bulk of her life as a homemaker raising her children. She volunteered at the YMCA, Sparrow Hospital, and Memorial Hospital, and she played tennis in the senior Olympics. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Joyce was also an avid member of Owosso First Church of the Nazarene for many years.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Clare; her sons, Theodore Goff and Timothy Goff; her daughters, Virginia (Greig) Goddard, and Susan (John) Coulter; her 5 grandchildren, John Jr. and Sara Coulter, Jessica and Jordan Goff, and Chris Goddard; and her 5-great-grandchildren, Pasley, Posey, Addison, Nolan, and Nikolas.
She is predeceased by her parents and her grandchildren, Paul Coulter and Catie Goddard.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cancer Society or the Owosso First Church of the Nazarene.

Clare, Martha and I offer you and your family our condolences. I always enjoyed being Joyce's tennis partner and remember how much we laughed when one of our 'great' tennis strategies failed. She was a wonderful person and I too will miss her.
