Oh Margey Doug and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. I am sending a big hug. I always found such comfort in the ones you gave me. You two were such great friends to mom and dad.

I will always remember OJ.
He hired me in 1972 when he was Chief of Parks Division. It was a pleasure working with him through the years as he became my friend and mentor. We designed many interesting Park projects including the first State Park in an urban setting that also included one of the first bike trails. Later we toured the State including the Upper Peninsula reviewing Recreation projects. riding the Snowmobile trails and meeting many interesting government employees, consultants and volunteers. I learned much about his philosophy, the importance of family, a positive work ethic , to always be respectful and knowing when to keep your mouth shut ( that was a hard one for me).
He had a saying that stayed with me through out my career " You gotta play the cards your dealt". Don't try to get out of it accept it and take your lumps if necessary. He was a straight shooter, always told you how it was with truth and honesty. I will miss him. Rest in peace my friend..
