Tom Troilo Obituary

Tom Troilo, 45, died suddenly October 10, 2008. He was born on February 25, 1963, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and moved to Park City soon after graduating from High School in San Antonio, Texas. Park City is the place that embodied Tom's love of the mountains and his passion for skiing. After working in several Park City restaurants, Tom joined with his brothers and sisters in 1998 to form Cinco Ninos Corporation and purchased Davanza's restaurant. Following the success of the 2002 Winter Olympics, he opened a second location at Kimball Junction and a third location last year in Salt Lake City. Always in motion, Tom was the physical and emotional engine that propelled his family forward, constantly challenging each of us to do more than we thought ourselves capable of without his motivation. Not unlike Will Rogers, Tom never met a person he didn't like, and knew no stranger when it came to helping someone in need. Tom is survived by his parents; Raymond and Regina Troilo, brother; Christopher Troilo, brother and sister-in-law; John and Janine Troilo, sisters; Elizabeth Troilo Maginn, and Stephanie Troilo, nephew; Christopher Maginn, uncles and aunts; Author Troilo and Nancy Troilo, Jim Just and Sheila Just, and Carmen Wasson, and 13 cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Snow Park Lodge on Monday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to The Utah Avalanche Center.

Troilo Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. The Salt Lake Davanza's has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat while delivering their mail. Not only is the food great, but everybody is so warm and welcoming…especially Stephanie! God bless you all.

I'll always remember the twinkle in his eyes and his wonderful smile. So sorry to have missed his service as I was away.
Peace be with you all...
