Robert Lynn Boyd

Lubbock- Robert Lynn Boyd of Lubbock, Texas finished his battle with cancer on July 21, 2018. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life of 79 years on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at 10 am at Lake Ridge Chapel. Lynn was born in Tipton, Oklahoma on March 13, 1939 to Robert and Pauline Boyd. He graduated from Tipton High School and attended Draughon's Business College in Wichita Falls, Texas. He then served in the Army National Guard. He married Jenice Ownsbey of Lubbock on November 18, 1972. Lynn worked the rest of his life in sales with the majority of that time spent in the irrigation and pump business. He traveled many miles across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and California. He made many lifelong friends along the way. He enjoyed reading and loved watching Texas Tech sports. Lynn and Jenice attended Southcrest Baptist Church where they served as Sunday School Class secretaries.

Lynn was proceeded in death by his wife Jenice and his parents.

He is survived by his children, Robin LaBarbera and husband Carl of Seal Beach, CA, Tiffany Williams and husband Van of The Woodlands, TX, Tish Garcia and husband Bobby of Arlington, TX, and Justin Dax Zarfas of Lubbock, TX; 4 grandchildren, Madeline, Andre', Abigail and Karlee; 3 siblings, Alan Boyd and wife Susie of Tipton, OK, Wayne Boyd of Oklahoma City, OK, and Ann Wright of Kingfisher, OK.
