Glenna, Tom, and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was a special man and a good friend. It gave me great comfort to know that he would be managing our farm when Daddy died. Even though I had spent little time with him, I knew that Daddy trusted Bob and felt that he was the best farmer around. It gave me great comfort to know that the farm was in such good hands.
I know that you will miss him dearly and my heart goes out to you during this difficult time.
Warmly,
Andrea Wooten

Glenna and all the Ross Family,
I met Bob many years ago and we saw each other on a few occasions over the years. I first met the Ross family in West Texas in the summer of 1960, just after I graduated from high school in Tennessee on a trip to visit my sister, Jane Maxwell Ross, and her husband James Ross.
Over the years, we heard news of the Ross family through Robin and Katy Ross after James, and then Jane, passed away. So I was shocked and saddened to learn that Bob had passed, although I knew he had had some health issues for the last few years.
Surprisingly, I learned of his death while on line doing research on Ancestry.com! A researcher who knew the Ross family from decades ago wanted my permission to use a family photo from one of my public files for a Find-a-Grave page, and Bob's passing two days earlier was mentioned! I was astounded and saddened.
Please know that you have the sincere sympathy of my husband Tim and me. It is always hard to lose our loved ones. Bob was always so hard working and responsible. He was a great help in Harlingen when James died and Jane was in the hospital. I know he not only did a lot for his family, but also for his community.
I have done extensive research on both the Ross family line back before the American Revolution, and on the Wright side as well. (Would love to have been able to share it all with Lillian. She would have been so interested.) If any family member would like access online to that information, I would be happy to arrange that. Contact me at: [email protected].
The great comfort that we have as Christians is that we know our partings are not forever, that we will see our loved ones in the Lord again one day. May God bless and keep you.
