Alfie was a person who you could always count on for a smile, for help, for thinking about you and your family and for remembering the good times you had together. He was a sincere person who believed in a realistic view of the world and applied it to his daily life. I knew Alfie growing up and appreciated his easy going manner and his positive approach toward others. I got to know him even better through taking care of his son Andrew. Alfie was a dedicated father. We had many discussions about how parents treat their kids reflects back on their upbringing and affects the entire family. I know that the Toll family has a lot to be proud of in the way Alfie provided a role model for others through his life. Our condolences to the entire Toll family. May our thoughts of Alfie always bring a smile and positive memories of a good son, brother, father, grandfather, spouse and friend. Stuart Shanker

Alfie was a good friend of mine in high school. We laughed together so much. He was at my house after school a lot. Alfie was beautiful, not only on the outside, but on the inside as well. I will always remember him. My condolences to his wife, whom I met at our 50th reunion, and the rest of his family, mainly his children and grandchildren. Thinking of you,Barby Novack Sestric

My friendship with Al, a fellow Marine began in the mid 1990's at Scottrade where Al was the manager. You couldn't help but like AL. He was a people person with a BIG HEART, great personality and sense of humor. He never met a stranger.
I will always cherish the many memories of our times together, especially Al's flying days in his Mooney in Middle Tennessee and N. Las Vegas.
Time together with Al and his dear wife Brooke were always relaxed and JOYFUL - as being with family. I adopted them as my brother and sister.
My love and memories of Al will only be a thought away. Al was a SPECIAL guy. He will be MISSED!!!
With heartfelt and deepest sympathy to Brooke and her family, and, may the Lord's presence and HIS PEACE be with you.

I first met Al in 7th grade at Hanley Jr. High. Even at that young of age, I was amazed at his gymnastics skill. We became good friends in our 20's. I will always remember his smile and sense of humor. Only two people still call me by my grade school nickname, "Schnicker" He and his brother. Now there is only one. I want to send Brooke my deepest sympathy from myself and my wife, Donna. For the rest of our lives we will smile when we hear Alfie's name....Richard and Donna Schnurman
