Brian Skala Obituary

Brian Knapp Skala, 49, of Las Vegas, died March 20, 2006. He was born June 29, 1956, in Palo Alto, Calif. Brian served in the U.S. Air Force from 1974 to 1978. On Oct. 4, 1979, he joined the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and retired April 17, 1998, as a detective in the general assignment detail. Brian was cremated and will be interred in Topeka, Kan. He was preceded in death by his dogs, German Shepherd's, Thor and Udo, and Bouvier des Flanders, Justin and Myles. He is survived by his parents, George and Valerie Knapp of Menlo Park, Calif., and Anita and Don Farrell of Florence, Ore. He also leaves his former wife and best friend, Donna Madl Davenport of Tecumseh, Kan.; and a stepdaughter, which he reared as his own, Danielle Boehme Schultz of Ashland, Ky.
