For the Holbert Family, Tony and I want to express our sadness at the loss of Edna. We looked at her like a wonderful matriarch who deeply loved every member of her family and extended that love to anyone she met, especially her spiritual family. At the last meeting she attended, I thought it was so sweet of her as she made her way across the hall just to come over to say hello to me! Even though that was our last "moment" I look forward to greeting her home in Jehovah's beautiful new earth that he has so lovingly promised us. We also, will miss her smiling face and funny personality!

For Edna and the Holbert Family
When we see you in paradise
we'll have so many things to say
That we loved and missed you
every single day
When we see you in paradise
we'll say we treasured you
And your presence in our lives
meant more than we even knew
When we see you in paradise
you'll be proud of all you see
Util then we'll keep each other close
your friends and family
We love you all so much--

Holbert Family,
I adored your Grandma Edna and will miss her forever. How lucky all of you are to have had such a great lady in all of your lives. I wish I could have given her one more hug and had one more banana nut bread! She was the best baker ever. I know she will be irreplaceable for your family and I'm sorry for your loss. Thinking of all of you during this difficult time.

Dear Holbert Family,
So sorry for your loss, Edna was a loving and caring person I have fond memories of her. The last time I saw her was in June of this year, Jim and I were able to have dinner with her and the family in Las vegas. She was so happy that so many of the family were sharing in the family worship night and even wrote down some notes about it to share with others when we got back to Oroville.I'm happy I was able to spend that time with her.
Please be assured our love and prayers are with all of you.

I am very sorry for the lost of your love one, I can tell that she was beautiful caring mom, grandmother, aunt, cousin, daughter, sister, and of course friend, it is so hard to lose someone we love. I see that Edna Holbert loved Jehovah and that means she had confidence in the resurrection hope. When Edna wakes up she will be in paradise. Rev.21:3,4. I don't know her but I know have forever to meet her.
Sincerely

I was thinking what can I say about Edna. The thoughts of the High Tea party kept coming to my mind. I remember Edna coming to the party wearing her hat and white gloves, looking like a proper lady. Even though it was a High Tea, Edna wanted her coffee, Edna loved her coffee. She had a great time that day, she talked about it for the longest time. She was a joy to be around, she appreciated everything you did for her. She was loving and kind to everyone, never speaking an unkind word about anyone. She was a faithful sister down to the end. I will miss her!

For my Gramma, whom I adored so much...
A wife, a mother, a gramma, a great-gramma too, this is the legacy we have from you.
You were raised on a farm, but were always a "city girl" by heart, you married young & gave life in Las Vegas a start...
You raised 3 kids & worked tirelessly throughout all your days...
Baking, Knitting, Thrift-store shopping, playing the piano, were some of your skills, but taking care of others is really how you got your thrills.
You celebrated our successes, understood our problems, accepted our defeats, teaching us by example & not to repeat.
We will always respect all you went through in your hardships & distinguished ways, your ability to hold yourself with such dignity & pride all your days.
You never really grew old, your heart was solid gold.
You taught us love & how to fight, you gave us strength, you gave us might.
We wonder if we ever thanked you for the sacrifices you made, & for the simple things, life, laughter, smiles, tears & times we shared?
For all the things you did we are thanking you now & hoping you know all along how much you truly meant to all of us.

I met Edna when I was 15. My first impression was; this is a lady that babies her kids and reads the Bible. She seemed nice in a nostolgic way.Life was not always easy for Edna but she took it in stride, didn't panic, never said too much, mostly kept alot inside.
Four decades ago she offered me a gift.It was free but it did have strings attached. When she first offered it I thought it was unusual, not very pleasant, but very compelling. She seemed harmless but this gift was like a two edged sword....and it was alive.(Hebrews 4:10)When I looked at it I was drawn to it.I wanted to take it but the strings attached seemed scary.Soon, I had to have it.(I learned a little secret about the strings...they are light and kindly..Matthew 11:28-30)
The gift is in the family now. It is an heirloom,a treasure to be shared.
Thank you Edna.....
