Gregory Heath Obituary

Gregory W. Heath, Sr., 56, of Henderson, passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, Saturday, June 24, 2006. He was born in Ossining, N.Y., in 1950, to Albert (Earl) and Emelie (Betty) Heath. Gregory graduated from Ossining High School in 1969, and from Alfred State College at Wellsville in 1971. Gregory was an operator for the Operating Engineer Local #12. Not only was he an active member of the union, but he also served as an instructor, board member and a steward. He was known to all as a thoughtful, caring and loving father, husband, son, brother and friend. Gregory is survived by his parents of Ossining; loving wife, Eugenia (Gina Mowery) Heath; sons, Dillon of Henderson, and Gregory Jr. of New York; and granddaughter, Cheyenne of New York. He is also survived by his siblings, Wayne, Kevin, Jeff and Debra (Ladd). Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 27. An open visitation also from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, with services to follow, all at Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, in Henderson. Interment will be held in Bronx, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions in Gregory's name be made to an educational fund for Dillon at Clark County Credit Union.
