Jacqueline Thomas Obituary

JACQUELINE THOMAS Jacqueline “Jackie" Emma Thomas, age 83, died in her home April 30, 2019. Her eternal soul left her mortal body at 12:22pm while surrounded by family in her home in Las Vegas. Jackie was born and raised in Lincoln Park, MI Jan. 29, 1936 to William and Pearl (Aben) Metzner. She met and married Patrick A. Thomas July 13, 1956. Pat joined the USAF and Jackie did too, although without raising her right hand and swearing an oath. She was a mother of 5, a homemaker, worked at various casinos, and finally a grandmother and great-grandmother. Jackie enjoyed painting, baking, and being the center of the family dynamic. She was greatly loved and respected, and will be missed. Jackie is survived by her spouse, Pat of 62 years; 4 children, son Kim Thomas, daughters Kathy Longsworth and Dana Paiz, and son Darren Thomas, all of Las Vegas; 7 grandchildren, Cora Thomas, Chris DiLorenzo, Kerri Granados, Amber Whitley, Kym, Kyle, and Colton Paiz; 7 great-grandchildren, Daniel, Deserae and Jasmine Granados, Jaiden Whitley, Savanna and Amber Brink, and Ellia Jankowski; and sister, Leila Harvey of Tujunga, CA. Jackie was predeceased by her son, David Thomas, and by her sisters Virginia Gish and Manila LaVoie. No service will be held; internment at So NV Veterans Mem Cemetery in Boulder City.
