Marsha Jenkins Obituary

MARSHA WHITE JENKINS Marsha Louise White Jenkins, 67, a waitress, cashier, wife and mother, of Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 14, 2011. She was born Sept. 20, 1944, in Concordia, Kan., and was a 67-year resident of Nevada. Marsha was the second child of George and Gladys White. The White family lived on 6th St. in downtown Las Vegas for many years. Marsha attended Las Vegas High School, where she sang and was president of the LVHS Chorallette Choir Group. She was an active member in the Order of Rainbow Girls. She met her first husband, Marlin Ashbaugh while attending LVHS. After high school, Marsha held many jobs over the course of her life but, her best and favorite job was loving, caring, and doting on her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Bob. She is survived by her loving husband, of 37 years, Raymond Jenkins; sisters, Sharon Hanley and Monta Diaz; sons, Andrew (Nancy) Ashbaugh and Randal Ashbaugh; her grandchildren, Randilynn Brewer, Austin Ashbaugh, Kaela Ashbaugh and Shelby Ashbaugh; and her great-grandchildren, Hailee Stelzer, Dominic Brewer, and Mason Brewer. We will be celebrating Marsha's life at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at her son Andy's home, 8630 W. Verde Way, Las Vegas, NV 89149. Close friends and family are welcome to attend and share their favorite remembrances of Marsha.

My thoughts and prayers are with Marsha's family. I helped Marsha and Ray purchase their home this year. Marsha was so happy when they finally found the home they wanted. I am very sorry to hear of her passing.

I love you very much and I miss you everyday. You were and are my best friend. I am thankful for ever minute I spent with you and all the loving, funny, and beautiful memories we shared. You were and are the most loving and wonderful person I know. I will never forget all the things you have taught me and how much you loved and cared for Andrew, Hailee, and I.
