Sally and Bill - I am sorry to learn about you dad’s passing. I was employed by Firestone Steel Products (Engineering Dept) when the Company first moved to Spartanburg and fondly remember the quick, sharp humor of you dad as well as his management and leadership skills. He was kind and cared for others. I know the family will greatly miss him.

Sally and Bill,
Oh I remember your father so fondly especially from the early years of Firestone Steel Products. My father, Frank Brinkmann, enjoyed both working with Don and the friendship they had and Gen became one of Mother's first Spartanburg friends after we moved here in 1962. I last saw Don at Daddy's graveside service 30 years ago and he and Mother did reconnect via email about 20 years ago. You and your families are in my prayers.

Sally and Bill, I fondly remember your dad back in our teenage years. I remember a dry sense of humor and being quite nice to us teenagers. I'm so glad to see that his grandchildren and great grandchildren got to know him.
