My husband and I ate at what used to be the Georgian Manor Rest. on Thurs. Brought back such memories for us because our first date, we ate there. It isn't called that anymore, but it's called Marco's. Still, in our minds it is still called the org. name. And at the time we were there on our first date, it was owned by Eddie Pawl. I new Mr. Pawl when I was a young girl and went bowling and into the lounge. Those were fun times and Mr. Pawl was a true gentleman. God Bless his soul and thanks for the memories.

Just looking up Mr. Pawl as I was thinking of the time I met him and what a character he was. Sad to see he has passed but he was a legend around the eastside. You don't meet too many people with personalities like his anymore.

Eddie Pawl, was a gentleman! I met him when I was dating a fella named Gary Kulma. Gary was a bouncer at Continental Nightclub back in the late 60's ( I think) anyway, what a nice man and person in general. He has brought a lot of wonderful things to the city of Roseville (where I grew up) and his children to continue his vision. Thank you Mr Pawl and God Speed. Just about three years ago, I had the pleasure of running into him at a block party in my sub. I'm sure he really didn't remember me as he knew so many people, but, he made me feel as if he did. What a charmer. My condolences to your family and may you have a pleasant jouney and your family finds peace in knowing so may people have been touched my their father and husband. God Bless, Sharon Nowakowski (Pokorski)
