To say that he was my mentor would be a gross under statement. All I am and all I have is because of Gene. He'll always be my Master and I his apprentice. May you find peace in God's arms.

I just heard the news & am so very sorry & so very saddened. I had the pleasure of meeting Gene years ago while working in the new home building business & became friends. His kindness & generosity was never ending with me. I actually owed him a visit & he still owed me a "pop." I have nothing but wonderful memories of Gene, as do my friends, can't say thanks enough for the fun had by all using the cabin for TUT (100 steps to the Duck Inn). My love, prayers & strength go out to his family (whom he talked of dearly). May only happy memories get you through the sad times ahead. xoxo

Gene was a wonderful human being. Great guy, loads of laughs and a man who did wonders for the Clinton Valley Little League. Claudia and I knew Gene from the old neighborhood (Transfiguration Catholic Parish in Detroit) and De La Salle where our sons played ball together and no one could ever say anything negative about him. Gene will be missed. Our prayers are with Marge (Clinton Twp. clerk's office) and the kids. God Bless You Gene.

Gene Rama, and his family, are the reason that youth baseball is so strong and vibrant in our communities. He was a founder, president, umpire, trainer, coach, etc. for many years. It was my honor for our community to name the little league ballfields after Gene for all that he did for us. What an impact he had on many of us for many years. He is what vibrant communities need. Thanks Gene for all you did to have such a positive impact on many young men and boys.
