Richard Norman Mudri

1934 - 2021

Richard Norman Mudri passed away suddenly at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Clinton Township, MI, on July 17, 2021. Richard will always be remembered for his thoughtfulness and sense of humor, and as a man of many passions. He loved watching old movies and listening to music with his wife of 61 years, Lillian. He loved tinkering with things and "making something out of nothing." He loved all dogs—especially his own, whom he spoiled with affection and food. Above all, he loved his family and friends, and always made sure they had plenty of food to eat when visiting his home. Born on March 9, 1934, Richard spent almost his entire life living on the same street in Warren, MI. After growing up with his parents and four siblings, he remained on his childhood street after marrying Lillian, and the couple spent their life together there until moving to their daughter's house in Macomb, MI in 2017. Richard was predeceased by his father John, mother Mamie, brother John, and sister Patricia Siroky. He is survived by his wife Lillian, son Michael (Nancy Wetzel), son Gary, daughter Michelle, sister Carolyn Pituch, and brother Peter. Arrangements are being handled by Wujek/Calcaterra Funeral Home, 36900 Schoenherr, Sterling Heights, MI. 48321. A Visitation will take place on Sunday July 25, 2021 from 3-8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 26 and will be followed by a Burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
