Michael Mudri Obituary
Michael T. Mudri, 74, a resident of Bethlehem, peacefully passed away in his home on Saturday, November 11, 2023. He was the devoted husband of Sharon (Reiss) Mudri, and their marriage lasted nearly 51 years. Born in Fountain Hill, Michael was the son of the late Michael Mudri, Jr., and Anna (Stifel) Mudri, of Fountain Hill. Michael served his country with pride and honor in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Liberty High School and subsequently attended Kutztown University before enlisting in the Marines. Michael dedicated over 33 years of his life to Bethlehem Steel Corp, retiring after a long and fruitful career. He was an active member of Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Bethlehem and was formerly associated with the ICC in Bethlehem. Michael's passions included a deep love for music, playing the guitar, collecting train sets, photography, fly fishing, classic cars, and he was an ardent supporter of the New York Yankees and the Washington Redskins. He cherished his time spent walking his dogs and had a special fondness for all animals.
Survivors: In addition to his beloved wife and mother, Michael is warmly remembered by his daughters, Christine Wieller (James) of Marathon, FL, Denise Mudri (Angelo Villani) of Bethlehem, and son, Jesse Michael Mudri of Bethlehem. He is also survived by his grandchildren, James III, Lindsay, Brody, Riley, and Vito, and his brother, Robert Mudri of Delaware. Many nieces and nephews hold fond memories of their uncle, as does his loyal canine companion, Oscar. Michael was preceded in death by his father Michael Mudri, Jr., sister Sandra Mudri, and niece Terri Delker.
Services: A private funeral service with military honors will be held, respecting the family's wishes. The Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, PA 18018, is entrusted with Michael's arrangements.
