My Grandpa has always been a role model for me. I've always loved him and loved when he called me on the phone. He has inspired me to have a deeper connection with God. I will miss him dearly, but I know that he his happy in Heaven. He will continue to inspire me even with his passing. I will always love him forever! ...Love Connor

I was fortunate to have Bill McCann as my boss for over 25 years and as my friend for over 45 years. He was an exceptional principal. He guided the staff and students at Halfman Elementary with caring and competence. He was beloved by all. He encouraged everyone to be the best they could be; to strive for excellence.

He was an devoted family man and so proud of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He has such a twinkle in his eyes when talking about his loved ones.

He was a concerned citizen and worked so unselfishly to helped those less fortunate.

His memory and life lessons will live on in those he encountered.

This wonderful man will be missed.

I worked as a teacher with Mr. McCann for several years. He was a kind man and a good administrator. As staff and students, we were fortunate to have him as our leader.

Grandpa you are the person I admired most and I will always cherish the memories we had together. You were always there for me from a shoulder to lean on to helping me with wording a research paper. I am such a proud grandaughter to say that you were a veteran of the Korean War, drove the train for the Detroit Zoo, was a teacher and principal, and served the community as a city council member. But I especially loved what a devout Catholic you were and that you truly followed God's plan. I am sad that you are not a phone call away anymore but am at peace knowing you are in heaven with Grandma.
