June 7, 1991 - November 18, 2015
Macon, GA- Cesar Herrera, age 24, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at New Life Church of God in Cochran. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Cesar, born in Tijuana, Mexico, had lived in Cochran since 1995 before moving to Macon. He was a graduate of Bleckley County High School and a tree surgeon. Cesar was studying Bio Medical at Central Georgia Technical College in Macon and was nominated for board member of Georgia Biomedical Instrumentation Society. He was a member of the Mustang Society and attended New Life Church of God.
Survivors are his wife, Shirley Ann Herrera of Macon; parents, Tomas and Emma Lopez of Cochran; brother, Tomas Lopez, Jr. of Cochran; sister, Kayley Grace Lopez of Cochran; uncle, Agustin (Carol) Lopez of Cochran; cousins, Brianna Lopez and Britney (Matt) Thomas of Cochran.
The family is at 133 Peter St., Cochran and will greet friends from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. Friday at Mathis Funeral Home. www.mathisfh.net

Cesar and my son, Brandon, were best friends in 4th and 5th grade. I can still see that smile and you boys giggling in my back seat while calling each other "dog." You boys built forts in our yard, explored the woods, fished and talked for hours on the phone- your life was just beginning. My heart is with your mom and family.
