How so very fondly I remember "old Mush." That's what we called him in the 1sr Company, USNA, Class of 1961 because of his heavy "southern accent" -- Mush being short for Mushmouth. We all had nicknames. He was a solid citizen, reserved and focused, reliable, and a beloved member of the gang. God bless his soul. Warm regards to the family.

To the family of George
Its been 50 years since I have worked with George, I was stationed at North Island Naval Base from 63 - 67 And I was on the Carrier Hornet with George on Det N,

We got to know each other over the length of the Cruise and he was just a great person and Officer, So we can all thank God for knowing George.
I still work with the Navy, I teach young Cadets to be good Officers

I am fondly remembering George today on the anniversary of his passing and on my own birthday. Our US Naval Academy connection as classmates and company mates all those many years ago has very much transcended the many, many years that have passed. Rest in peace dear buddy. May you dwell in the arms of the Lord in peace and fulfillment.

Dear Anne and Family,
John and I just learned of George's passing, Claude Burns called us on Saturday. We told Dad this morning, we were all heartbroken. We would have certainly been there, had we known. You and George, Mom and Dad had the best times together over the many years and became such good friends. The Dealer trips and side trips you all took were so cherished by mom and dad. John and I were Blessed to be able to be on many of the trips with you both, George & Laura. We think the world of you all and our thoughts and prayers are with you, now and always. May God keep you safe and strong and may memories comfort and sooth you all.
