James Hill Obituary

James A. Hill, Jr. -MACON - James A. Hill, Jr., 78, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2002. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2P.M. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial to follow in Macon Memorial Park. The Reverends Tim Long and Glenn Lyles will officiate. -Son of the late James A. and Ella Louise Hill, Sr., he attended First Evangelical Church, and served in the United States 8th Air Force during WWII where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross. Mr. Hill was a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering. His wife, Satella B. Hill preceded him in death. -He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Danny Lyles of Macon; brothers and sisters, Ruth Pearce, Mary Ann Clark of Macon, Virginia Holcomb of Stockbridge, Thomas Hill of Miami, Charles Hill of Stockbridge, and Robert Hill of Bolingbroke; two grandchildren, Shannon (Kevin) Bryant, and Dana Lyles, both of Macon; a great grandson, Tucker Bryant, and several nieces and nephews. -The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Children's Ministries, c/o First Evangelical Church, 3601 Fulton Mill Road, Macon 31206. -Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
