Janie McCurry Obituary

Janie McCurry -DEVEREUX - Services for Janie McCurry, age 94, will be Sunday, November 23, 2003, at 2P.M., in Devereux Baptist Church in Hancock County. Officiant will be Rev. Thomas Roberson, Rev. Edgar Williams, Rev. Kathleen Haynes. Janie Died Wednesday, November 19. -Mrs. McCurry was a native of Wilkes County, she had made her home in Atlanta for a number of years and had lived in Hancock County of the past ten years. She was retired form the J.P. Stevens Company, the widow of the late Isaac Jesse Harold McCurry and was a member of Devereux Baptist Church. -Survivors, daughters, Jackie Russell of Sparta, Mrs. Jean Hogan of Mableton, GA; sons, Jess McCurry of Sparta; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. -The family will receive friends at the Devereux Baptist Church immediately following the services. -In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Devereux Baptist Church, or to Providence Healthcare in Sparta. -Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Milledgeville is in charge of arrangements.
