Jesse Edward Cone -BYRON - Jesse Edward Cone, 63, died Thursday, February 13, 2003. Services will be 3P.M., Sunday, February 16, 2003 at Byron United Methodist Church with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery of Fort Valley. Rev. Sam Lamback, Rev. Bill Shattles and Father Paul Gerlock will officiate. -Born in Pensacola, Florida, he was employed as a truck driver with Epes Trucking. Mr. Cone served in the US Navy and was a member of Byron United Methodist Church. -Survivors include wife, Lynn H. Cone of Byron; children; Terri Lynn Baker of Byron, Ronald Edward Cone of Charlotte, NC and James Clinton Cone of Hubert, NC; sisters: Janet Pace of Centerville and Sarah Norman of Byron; six grandchildren. Mr. Cone was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Ann Cone and a brother, Grady Cone. -In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Byron United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 6, Byron, GA 31008. -The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00P.M. Saturday, February 15 at Rooks Funeral Home in Byron. -Rooks Funeral Home in Byron has charge of arrangements.
