Marcus Avery Obituary

Gray, GA- Marcus Max Avery, 46, died Thursday, March 06, 2014. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00pm, prior to a 2:00pm memorial service on Monday, March 10, 2014, at Real Life Church in Macon. Rev. Johnny McGowan will officiate the service.
Mr. Avery, the son of the late Max George Avery and Waltine Burnham Avery, was born in Macon on March 07, 1967, and had lived in Gray most of his life. He was a 1986 graduate of Cross Keys Christian Academy and worked as a mining superintendent for Cherokee Brick and Tile in Macon for twenty-three years. Marc and Cindy enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping in the outdoors with their son, Triston. He also attended Real Life Church.
Mr. Avery is survived by his wife: Cynthia Marie "Cindy" Chaffin Avery; son: Triston Marcus Avery; brother: Frankie Davis; and sister: Teresa Rogers.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Mark and Lori Findlay at 167 Cedar Creek Farms in Haddock.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cindy and Triston Avery Fund at Morris State Bank in Gray.

Cindy and Triston, words cannot express how deeply I care about you both. I am so sorry you are going through this and only wish I could relieve some of your pain. I only meet Mark a few times but thought he was a very nice and compassionate person who would do anything for anyone. Cindy I love you like a sister and I will always be here for you anytime of the day or night. You are both in my prayers, thoughts, and heart. Cindy my prayers are with you and triston. I had the pleasure of working for marc for about 10 years. Learned a lot together from when he started in the mine, I'm very proud to say i am one of the lucky ones to have met him he was a great man and will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

I have so many memories growing up with Uncle Marc, from us wrecking on his dirtbike to being able to tell cheerleaders what to cheer at games because my Uncle was on the field. As I got older there was a time him and Cindy were there for me and I'm thankful for that. He helped me buy my first car and I even had the priviledge when I married of wearing the veil that Cindy wore when she married Marc. I pray for comfort and peace for Cindy and T. I love y'all.
