Macon, GA- Nickie "Nick" Charles Wilkes passed July 5th after a tough battle with cancer. Nick was a graduate of Dudley Hughes. Nick was a truck driver for over 40 years. He was a devoted father, grandfather and friend. Nick was a strong man who never complained, he loved life and his smile, laughter and voice soothed all. Survivors include: daughters, Sherry (Marty) Hayes, Ginger Wilkes; grandchildren, B. Tess Hayes, P. Taylor Hayes; great-grandchildren, Aleeah Johnson, Ian Johnson, Levi Hayes, Noah Johnson, Layla Hayes; brother, Herman Wilkes; devoted family member, Betty Locapo; nephews, Glen Wilkes, Randy Wilkes; great-niece, Beth Wilkes; great-nephew, Glen Wilkes Jr.; devoted cousins, Kenneth (Pat) Copeland, Woody (Nancy) Owens, Joyce Bone Cox, Mike Bone, Joann (Charles) Reed, Kay Copeland, Gary Copeland, Cecil Copeland, Jay Copeland, Chris Copeland, Jerry (Angie) Owens, and other relatives.
