Roberta , GA- Funeral services for Norma White Sheets, 95, of Roberta, will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Roberta United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Roberta City Cemetery. Mrs. Sheets passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at The Medical Center in Macon, GA.
Mrs. Sheets was born January 16, 1923 in West Armuchee, GA (Walker County) to Rufus Shelly and Indiana Ola Fowler White. A graduate of West Georgia College, Mrs. Sheets was a long time teacher in the Crawford County School System. She was known for her patience and compassion in her classroom. In addition, Mrs. Sheets and her late husband, R.L. Sheets, Sr., dedicated much of their time to owning and operating Roberta Reality Company.
Mrs. Sheets was a beloved member of Roberta United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Crawford County Historical Society, and the Crawford County Retired Teachers Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband R.L. Sheets, Sr.; two sons, Robert L. (Bobby) Sheets Jr. and Larry M. Sheets; and her parents, Rufus and Ola White.
Survivors include one grandson, Layton Sheets of Warner Robins, GA; daughter-in-law, Sheri Jordan Sheets of Warner Robins, GA; sister, Wilma White Wayne (Roy) of Louisville, KY; granddaughter, Shelli Attaway (Jeremy) of Macon, GA; great-granddaughter, Cora Rose Attaway of Macon, GA; and long time caregivers, Alfred Gibson; Francis Gibson; Mandy Simmons; and Delma Williams all of Roberta.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm at McLeighton Funeral Service in Roberta, GA.
Memorial contributions may be made to Roberta United Methodist Church.

Its hard for me to picture Roberta without Norma! She was a beloved friend of my mother Audrey for so many years. They shared joy and sadness over many years. She was so kind to so many.

Deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Mrs. Norma. Have known her since I was a teenager and was a friend of Larry's. She was a witty, intelligent and loving Wife, Mother and friend, was an extraordinary teacher. She will be dearly missed.
