He became my mentor 40 years ago in not just our chosen profession of nondestructive testing, but in being a public servant, and thoughtful husband and father. I still smile when I remember his Jerry Clower routines, as well as his handling of vendors who would try to sell snake oil to the government. I am so glad that I was able to visit him just a year or two before his passing; he will be missed.

Dear Alyce and family, We were so sorry to have read just yesterday of Bob's passing. You both worked so hard at Friends of the Library and it just has not been as much fun without you. We will certainly miss Bob's occasional whistled tune though we are looking forward to seeing him again when we take possession of our Heavenly home. Lynn and Cara McMullen
