Sharon Keenum Obituary
July 07, 1950 - July 06, 2012
Jones County, Georgia- Sharon Kitchens "Sherry" Keenum, 61 of Morris Stevens Road, died Friday, July 06, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family. Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, July 09, 2012, at Bradley Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.
Mrs. Keenum was born July 07, 1950, in Macon and had lived in Jones County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late William Othar Kitchens and Mazie Dugger Kitchens. Mrs. Keenum attended Bradley Baptist Church and was a member of the Georgia School Food Service Association. Mrs. Keenum served as Food Service Manager for Gray Elementary for twenty five years prior to serving her last year before retirement at Turnerwoods Elementary School.
Mrs. Keenum is survived by her husband of thirty-four years: Tom Keenum; sons and daughters-in-law: William J. "BJ" and April Keenum and Tommy and Susan Keenum, Jr.; grandchildren: Molly Keenum, Stephanie Keenum, Will Keenum and Jacob Keenum; sister and brother-in-law: Joyce and Bobby Coulter; brothers and sister-in-law: Carl "Bubba" and Betty Ann Kitchens and Bill Kitchens and by several nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, Georgia 31201.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Joyce and Bobby Coulter at 742 Morris Stevens Road in Jones County.

Sherry was such a wonderful person & she will be missed. She loved all her "kids" at school & they certainly loved her! My sons, Vance & Daniel both remember Sherry at GES & how sweet she was to both of them. I worked with her at GES in the lunchroom. We both loved Princess Diana & Sherry was not just my boss, but my friend. I'll miss seeing her in Wal-Mart or Ingles & getting a hug from her.We'll be praying for the family. God Bless!

To the Coulter, Kitchens and Keenum family,
I am very sorry for your loss. Ms. Sherry was an amazing woman. She will truly be missed by all expecially her little ones in the school lunch line. She loved them all so very much. I know she is not in pain any longer and God had better plans for her. Keep your memories of her in your heart and they will help you through the tough times. I love you Ms. Sherry. Sorry to hear about your lost you are in our prayers and thoughts. I really enjoy working with your mom and coming good friends with you guys. Sherry was a very kind heart well loved person. I especially enjoy the times when we went to Jekyle Island together with the school, and one Thanksgiving my family and I was on our way to South Carolina to have Thanksgiving with my family and Sherry insisted that we come over your yall house for Thanksgiving that was the best of times. Sherry is the most kindest person she would open her heart and home to anyone.
