Dr. Dodd was a very unique and loving person. He provided me with excellent healthcare over the years until he retired. He cared deeply about his patients and no matter how bad you were feeling he'd say or do something to make you leave with a smile. Even if it was just a temporary smile. He will be sadly missed. To the family I hope that you find comfort during this time. My prayers are with you.

Bill,

It has been a long time since we were at Georgia Southern together and visited your home in Wrightsville. I am so sorry to hear about your Dad and will keep you in my prayers. I'll call you next time I am at Mother's in Macon.

Dr. Dodd was a special friend who always smiled and hugged me. He called me Ellen's mother, and introduced his beautiful wife Claire.
I was also privileged to hear him play jazz on his keyboard --just for me! What a great time he's having in heaven playing lively music!!
Love to Claire and all who loved and cared for him,
Reba Haygood

I have fond memories of Dr. Dodd visiting my late grandmother, Mrs. L. A. Lovett of Wrightsville, and playing the piano for all of us. We thought he was wonderful! My sympathy and prayers are with his family.

Dear family, I'll never forget him leaving the Wrightsville office to show me something at home. It was his grand piano & son's old trumpet. Yes, I had to play some Dixieland tunes this first time & many other times. What a delightful memory with a great friend! I'll always re-member my last visit in Macon, when I played "Just a Closer Walk With Thee" on my old antique Cornet. He loved it! We'll miss him too!! Our prayers are with you..all!!

I did not know Dr. Dodd, but my father, Dr. John Burch knew him well. He took care of my father while he was living in Wrightsville. He actually saved my dad's life. I have heard my dad talk very highly of Dr. Dodd and I couldn't help but admire him. I know he was a great person and he will be missed. May God bless his family and help them through this difficult time. Keep his memories always in your heart.
