Bargman, Carol Ann (Turman)
GREEN BAY/MIDDLETON – Carol Ann (Turman) Bargman, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, at UW Hospital in Madison, from complications of leukemia, COPD and emphysema. Carol was born on April 8, 1947, in Two Rivers, Wis., the first child of Howard and Lorraine (Opperman) Turman.
Carol attended Two Rivers schools and was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Two Rivers. She married Gene Bargman in 1965, and they settled in Green Bay. The couple had three children, but the marriage ended in divorce. Carol became a single mother, and she worked many jobs as a waitress and bar manager to support her family. She took many years of night classes and received her associate degree in accounting from Green Bay Tech College in 1991. Her children were grown by then, and she moved to Middleton, Wis. Carol began working as an accountant bookkeeper at Springs Window Fashions and then as a financial specialist at Russell Labs of UW-Madison. She also was the hostess at Paul's Speedway Bar and later at Paul's Neighborhood Bar in Middleton for over 20 years. Many friendships were made there, and it was Carol's favorite job.
Carol was a beautiful and spirited person who loved to laugh and have a good time. She was smart, hard-working and funny. Carol was a good listener and cared deeply for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by many.
Carol is survived by her three children, Philip Bargman of Green Bay, Paul Bargman, and Angel Bargman of Green Bay; brothers, Michael (Deborah) Turman and Tom (Nancy) Turman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; cousins in Shawano, Wis., and Virginia; and many dear friends in Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family wishes to thank the many doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals at UW Hospital for their care during Carol's illness.
In keeping with Carol's wishes, there will be no services. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
Rest in peace, dear Carol.
