Philip Chase Obituary

Philip W Chase went home on July 20th, 2024 after a 16 year long battle with cancer. He died with the love of his life by his side.

Phil was born on April 15, 1939 in Madison, WI. He served in the Marine Corps for 4 years. Phil met his wife, Shirley Jorenby and married her 6 weeks later. They celebrated 62 years of marriage in January, still very much in love.

Family and friends will tell you Phil was a humble man that had a great attitude and sense of humor.

Phil is survived by his wife, Shirley Chase, his son's, Mike Chase and Dan (Cheyenne) Chase, daughters, Chris (Mark) Kempfer and Carol Shulfer. Phil was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. His brother, Dave (Donna) Chase and sister, Susan Gedko.

Proceeded in death by his parents Shack and Marian Chase, in-laws Clifford and Phyllis Jorenby. His oldest son, Chuck Chase and son-in-law, Russell Shulfer.

The family is extremely grateful for all the wonderful care the VA Hospice unit provide and they dubbed him the "Man of Mystery" as he outlived all expectations.

A special thank you to Agrace Hospice, for all the kindness and support, especially nurse Lindsay who always made Phil smile through the pain.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, August 17th from 3-7 pm at Chris Kempfer's home.

Phil, rest in peace, I love you my sweetheart and I when I see you again, I will kiss you, hold you and share a beer.
