William Bell Obituary

William "Bill" Eugene Bell

March 4, 1940 - June 10, 2024

ARLINGTON - William "Bill" Eugene Bell, age 84, of Arlington, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife.

Bill was born on March 4, 1940, in Madison, WI, the son of Eugene and Isabelle (Noltemeyer) Bell. He married Caroline Ruth Schultz on April 28, 1962.

Bill was a 3rd generation Ford Dealer and loved nothing more than being a Ford Dealer. He was a member of the Arlington Fire Department for 54 years, Fire Chief for 45 of those years. He truly was meant to serve his community and did so very proudly.

Bill is survived by his wife, Caroline; his cousins: Sue Teeter and Sharon and Lois Noltemeyer; a nephew, Stuart Schultz; and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his cousin, Barb Noltemeyer.

Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, in Arlington, WI, on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. David Juhl officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, in North Leeds, following the service. Caroline, Nolan and all of the Bell Ford Family.
We are sorry to hear of Bills passing.
Our first purchase 20+ years ago was a truck for Mike and I and a car for our daughter Tonya to go back and forth from college.
We also remember a time when we called after hours as our truck was acting up.
Bill answered and Stayed until we got there and gave us a loaner.
He was a great guy.
