Warren – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday July 21, 2025, in St. James Church, for Janet Sue (Hilb) Vogt, 82, of Warren, who passed away Sunday afternoon, July 13, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital with her loved ones by her bedside. Janet was born October 5, 1942, in Warren, the only daughter of Lawrence William and Louise Ceclia (Luse) Hilb and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, class of 1960, and served on her high school class reunion board for 50 years. Janet was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of St. Theresa of Calcutta Parish and attended the St. James Catholic Church worship site. She was also a member of the board of Warren Civic Music until 2024 and had volunteered at Warren General Hospital and ran the gift shop for many years. Janet married the love of her life, David Raymond Vogt, on February 12, 1966, at St. Mary's Church. Together they spent 49 years together and raised three children and four grandchildren until his passing on July 25, 2015. Janet leaves to cherish her memory, one son, John David Vogt and his wife Kim of Cortland, two daughters, Kelly Ann Vogt -McClure and her husband Jeff of Warren, and Kathleen Farr of Salem and her longtime companion Paul Battle, as well as her four grandchildren, Kenyon Raymond Farr, Keaten Jonathan Farr, Austin Tyler Vogt, and K.C. Farr. Family and friends may call from 9 to 10 AM Monday morning at St. James Church where the mass will begin at 10 AM. Janet was a strong two-time breast cancer survivor. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to either the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center or to St. James Church in her memory.
