Jeffrey Kernen Obituary

Jeffrey Dale Kernen, age 61 of Newton Falls, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday night Sept. 28, 2023 at St. Joseph Eastland Hospital in Warren. He was born on September 17, 1962 in Ravenna, OH the son of Dale Everett Kernen & Barbara A. (West) Kernen. Jeffrey had lived in Newton Falls for 15 years formerly of Braceville where he graduated from Labrae High School in the Class of 1980. He was part of the first graduating class at the JVS (Joint Vocational School). Jeff worked as a printer for over 32 years and retired from the Tribune Chronicle in Warren after 7 years. He was a member of the Braceville Christian Church. Jeffrey enjoyed riding dirt bikes and motorcycles as well as swimming. He was an avid WWII buff and loved visiting Nelson Ledges Park. He is preceded in death by his father Dale Kernen He is survived by his mother Barbara A. Richards of Ravenna; his brother Scott & Sandra Kernen of Newton Falls and his 2 nephews Tyler & Dale A private family graveside service will be held Arrangements have been entrusted to the James Funeral Home, 8 East Broad Street, Newton Falls, OH 44444 (330)872-5440.
