Michael Paris Jr. Obituary
Youngstown – Michael Joseph Paris Jr., 75, of Youngstown, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, January 22, 2024 with his loving family by his side.
He was born January 12, 1949 in Youngstown, the son of Michael Joseph Sr. and Vincenza (Mandoline) Paris. Michael was proud to have grown up on the East Side and was a lifelong area resident.
Michael graduated from East High School as a "Golden Bear" and was a long time member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica.
Upon his graduation, Michael found a lengthy career that spanned over 40 years until his retirement as an engineer with the railroad. His career began with Penn Central which later became Conrail and currently is Norfolk Southern.
Michael will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He always made his family his top priority and loved spending time with them especially his grandchildren.
Michael enjoyed coaching baseball with his good friend Bob Burke and an avid sports fan of all Cleveland teams the Browns, Indians and Cavaliers. He also had a passion for all aspects of horse racing.
Michael leaves behind to hold onto his memories; the love of his life, his wife of over 54 years the former Beverly Mirone whom he married May 17, 1969 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, his beloved three children Joseph (Jennifer) Paris of Canfield, Lindsay (Michael) Evanko of Austintown and Anthony (Angela) Paris of Lake Milton, his five grandchildren whom he adored Michael, Kaitlyn, Gianna, Nico and Arianna. He also leaves three sisters Nancy (Bill) Terlesky, Janet Paris and her companion Bill Miketa, JoAnn (John Craig) Ginnis, a brother John Paris and his companion Mary Ellen and his faithful beloved dog Cocco along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
There was a private service held at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St, Boardman, with Deacon Anthony Falasca as celebrant.
Michael's family would like to thank the staff of the ICU Unit of St. Elizabeth Main Campus, Youngstown for all the care and compassion shown to Michael and to them throughout this difficult time.
