Robert Paris Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dery Funeral Home on Feb. 16, 2026.
Robert Andrew Paris, 55, of Pittsfield, passed away on February 12, 2026.

Born on September 26, 1970, in Pittsfield, Rob - affectionately known as "Big Rob" to family and friends - was a lifelong resident of the community he loved. He attended Pittsfield Public Schools and graduated from Taconic High School in 1989, where he was enrolled in the metal fabrication program.

Rob was known for his big heart and unwavering loyalty to those he cared about. He had a lifelong love for animals and shared a special bond with every pet he owned. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, where he found peace and happiness.

Throughout his life, Rob worked a variety of jobs, including as a Welder at Berkshire Bridge and Iron and as an assistant at Berkshire Veterinary Hospital, among other positions. No matter where he worked, he brought dedication, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to lend a helping hand.

Rob is survived by his loving mother, Sheila Paris of Pittsfield; his stepfather, Charles "Chuck" Williams of Mattapoisett; and his siblings, Richard Paris (Marcia) of Lanesboro, Randal Paris (Lisa) of Pittsfield, Joshua Williams of West Hartford, Ct., and Ryan Williams (Abiah) of Dalton.

He was a proud and devoted uncle to Gianna Paris, Jacob Paris, DiMaggio Paris, Dominic Paris, Derek Paris, Hailie Williams, Eleana Casey, Payton Williams, and Ryker Williams. His nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Rob will be remembered for his love of his family, his generous spirit, and the lasting impression he made on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 26th, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Polish Falcon Club, 32 Bel Air Avenue, Pittsfield. Family and friends are invited to attend and share memories in honor of Big Rob's life.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201
