Stephen Sipusic Obituary

Stephen J. Sipusic, 72, passed away peacefully at 7:21 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at the Hospice House following an extended illness. Steve was born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 8, 1952, to Aloysius S. Sipusic and Helen M. Sipusic. He was a 1971 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, where he was a member of the football team. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University and a two year degree in Computer Science. He retired in 2013 from Youngstown Bankruptcy Court after working 23 years as an I.T. Specialist. Steve loved traveling with his wife, Mary Lou. He also enjoyed fishing, whether it was on a charter with his dad or at Mosquito Creek Lake. He was a member of Saint Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Cortland. Steve will be deeply missed by his wife, Mary Lou Sena Sipusic, whom he married May 16, 1987. He is also survived by his sister, Janet (David) Rook of Hudson; his brother, Ronald (Patty) Sipusic of Champion; and three nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday November 15, 2024 at Saint Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Cortland. The Reverend Ryan Furlong will be officiating.
