Darryl was a great friend and part of my lil RVMC family while I was there. I miss our morning chats and the way he always called me DC even though the initials had changed! I loved that even when he felt his worst he was always upbeat and how when any child walked into a room he would light up. Kids were so important to him and he always was asking me how David was or what was David doing. I will miss DD so much, but I know we will get to have our morning visits someday soon.

Darryl - I miss you so much buddy!! I miss our morning hug when I get to work, our breaks and lunches with all of the stories, laughter, you peeling my oranges, me eating your fries, and even the silence with just sitting with you. I miss our walks to the pharmacy, taking the stairs for exercise, our challenges on weight loss. I miss you harassing all the girls in the office, telling jokes and piping in when ever you wanted, watching you stand on your chair watering your plants, shooting rubber bands at me or throwing stuff at me (the candy was the best). I miss when any time I wanted to talk to you I could just walk over to your desk or call you. I miss your laugh, your smile, your voice, looking into your eyes, and I just MISS YOU!! You were my best buddy ever. I'm so sorry what you had to go through and I have said over and over you put up one hell of a fight. You were such a hard worker, never complained, and trudged through when you were at your worst. You changed my outlook on life and such an inspiration to me. I know now that not to sweat the small stuff in life and how important my family and friends are. Life is to short! I love you and your family so much. I have some life long friend's thanks to you. I hate good byes so I will just say that I can't wait until we meet again and I know that day will be here before we know it. I'm just so glad that you are out of pain and at peace. I LOVE YOU BUDDY!!!

Darryl, even though I have not seen you in so many years; it seems that I have lost one of my dearest friends. We have played baseball together from little league up through high school and now you will be able to play again in heaven. Go in peace my friend; I will miss you.

Darryl.was an amaizng man who loved his family! I think the only thing that would come close to the love for his family is his love for the game! Now darryl gets to play ball in the field of dreams where we will all join him someday! We all have to remember he touched many lives and god put darryl here for a reason and now it's time for him to go home with our lord. Everyone need to remember to keep smiling because we all know that's what darryl wants! I love ya big guy see ya in heaven!
