Susan Ruby Obituary

Susan Jean Ruby
1961 - 2015
WHITEFIELD - Susan Jean Ruby passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Whitefield on Aug. 29, 2015 due to complications from a car accident earlier in the year. A woman of love, life and joy, she was born in Augusta on April 15, 1961 to Joseph and Betty Ruby, who loved her dearly. Sue graduated from Cony High School in 1979 and held a variety of jobs including serving in the United States Army. She was a proud veteran and loved her Lord, her country, her children and every one of her friends with all her heart.
Sue loved to talk with her family and friends, shop for clothes and jewelry and was a Pats fan. She gave selflessly beyond her means to all in need. Sue had a contagious laugh and was a free spirit who brought laughter and joy to all she knew.
She leaves behind a husband, Ronald Hanson of Whitefield, two sons, Jason Chrissman of Brunswick, and Jeremy Chrissman of Augusta; four grandchildren; four sisters Dolly Lagassee of Augusta, Polly Hayden of Starks, Diane Nesman of Bolton, Mass., and Linda Greene of Augusta, two brothers Thomas Thorndike of Augusta, and Jim Ruby of Vassalboro; along with 13 nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. will be held at the Augusta Church of the Nazarene, 30 Nazarene Drive, Augusta, with refreshments following the service. Burial will be held at the Maine Veteran's Cemetery on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015 at 2 p.m.

Sue is my granddaughter's other grandmother and she did indeed have a contagious laugh and did indeed give selflessly to those in need and would go without to do it. She had a heart of gold and I will miss her very much. She and I had some great talks and laughs and it was always all good. You're with Jesus now Susan and with your Mom and Dad and rejoicing I'm sure. You are now able to see and talk to God face to face. Trinity misses you too and I will make sure she hears all the positive, fun stories about you and I'll make sure she remembers you.
