Thomas Webb Obituary

Thomas C. Webb
1934 - 2017
SARASOTA, Fla. - Thomas C. "Tom" Webb, 82, died Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Sarasota, with family by his side.
Tom was born Aug. 7, 1934, to John C. and Margaret M. Webb, in Guthrie Center, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Donna Rose Schake, on March 30, 1956, at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Tom graduated from Patrick Henry High School (Minneapolis, Minn.) in 1953. Donna was his high school sweetheart and graduated one year later. Tom earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota. Tom was employed at Standard Register (Iowa), Wisconsin Power and Light and Central Maine Power, and retired as CEO of Central Vermont Public Service in 1995. Tom and Donna retired to their beloved "camp" of 40 years, on Maranacook Lake, in Readfield, during the summer months and to Longboat Key, Fla., during the winter months.
Tom was a dedicated son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Donna; his daughter, Jodi Webb, of Middleton, Wis.; his sons, Todd (Laurie) Webb, of Readfield; and Timothy "Tim" (Darald Stubbs), of Longwood, Fla.; grandsons, Tanner and Skylar Webb; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret; and sister Anne Webb Fish.
The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for taking such good care of Tom from his hospitalization on Father's Day, June 18, 2017, until his passing there on July 1, 2017.
A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at the Meeting House Church on Scribner Road in Manchester. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Your Traditions Cremation and Funeral Chapel, Sarasota, Fla.

Dear Todd & family. Lee & I were astounded to learn of the passing of your father, Tom Webb. Lee (CMP and Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company) and I (CMP) have fond memories of meeting with your father weekdays at Peterson's Bakery in Manchester to drink coffee before heading into the Edison Drive offices. Your father was one of those good guys who always had a smile on his face. Sad indeed for us that he is gone.

So sad to hear about the passing of Tom. I have a lot of great memories hanging out on the lake with the whole Webb family growing up. I want you to know I was thinking of Donna, Tim, Todd and your extended families and recalling a much happier time. Much love!
