Sending our condolences to Dave's family. He was one of the first people to teach my son to ski. Dave made it fun and gave him a confidence. We feel privileged to have known him.

I knew David many years ago - the mid-late 60s - when my family lived next door to his in Hampden Highlands. He and I were great friends, along with Wendy Downs, Mark Horr, the Whitney girls, Paula Windsor and others in the neighborhood. David and I built model cars together, "hung out" with the raccoon that the Lamberts had for awhile in the house-then-the-back-shed(!), got turned on to Martha-Ann's copy of "Led Zeppelin II" and rode the Lambert's snowsled in many, many circles around the house! David was always smiling, always friendly and kind to me and my brothers, and always ready to try things -- biking too fast to the "Highlandette Market" for baseball cards, sneaking around the then-abandoned Gilbert Mansion, or skiing toward the river behind the house on the corner. I lost track of David after my family moved north in 1970. It sounds as though he continued to live a kind and good life. So sad to hear of his passing. Great memories of a very good person.

My name is Steve Roy and I work in a partner organization in the building where David worked. I always enjoyed having conversations with him about sports or the great work he did with handicapped skiers. He was always positive and great to be around with and I will miss his the conversations but more importantly I will miss the his jovial upbeat nature. I will always remember how supportive he was of me when our organization was going through a rough time. He was always there to be supportive. Rest in peace and may God bless you David.
